Alex Ligertwood a fost un cântăreț și compozitor scoțian, cunoscut mai ales ca fiind vocalistul principal al trupei Santana la sfârșitul anilor 1970 și 1980. A contribuit la mai multe albume ale trupei și a apărut pe piese celebre precum „Hold On” și „All I Ever Wanted”.

Înainte și după perioada petrecută cu Santana, Ligertwood a lucrat cu o varietate de artiști și trupe, inclusiv în sesiuni și colaborări în cadrul scenelor rock și jazz fusion. Vocea sa puternică și profundă a devenit un element definitoriu al sunetului trupei Santana într-o perioadă cheie a evoluției lor.
